Spirit Truck Lines began operations in 1990 with five trucks. Since its inception, Spirit has rapidly grown and continues to expand as the demand for reliable and trustworthy logistical companies grow. Spirit is a truckload motor carrier of general commodities in both interstate and intrastate commerce.
Spirit Truck Lines is family-owned and operated, allowing customers personal access to an owner in all aspects of the business. Spirit believes in a hands-on approach to business.
The founders-Johnny, Raul, David, Ramiro, and Leonel Garza had a vision for a transportation company that could deliver superior service, reliability and an ability to surpass our customers’ expectations in a rapidly changing market.
Today, Spirit Truck Lines has grown into a regionally recognized industry leader. Spirit continues to raise the standard for service, reliability and serving transportation needs. We are based in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, San Juan, Texas, operating throughout the 48 contiguous states, including Mexico, and Canada.
Spirit has two other terminals, one in Laredo and the other in San Antonio. Our close proximity to the US-Mexico border allows our customers easy and convenient access to their Mexico-business partners.
Together, the Garza brothers have brought more than 25 years of individual owner/operator experience to form Spirit Truck Lines. Even then, the freight hauling business was not new to the family.
The brothers were following in the footsteps of their father, Eulalio Garza, who purchased his first truck in 1925.

Spirit Truck Lines, was founded in 1991, and is a premier transportation company offering trans-continental truckload services within the United States, to and from Canada with trailer service in Mexico.
Spirit has built its reputation on providing innovative transportation solutions to customers. In addition, Spirit is proactive in adopting advanced technology that helps improve efficiencies and adds value to our customers.
Spirit offers personal and standardized services to our customers. We assist them with their transportation needs, and strengthen the supply chain. Our equipment is maintained in excellent operating condition to ensure no disruptions to production schedules.
Trailers are air-ride equipped so all cargo is received in excellent condition. All shipments are GPS tracked which give our customers visibility to their cargo.
Spirit understands that service is more than picking up and delivering shipments safely and on-time. Our system incorporates state-of-the-art logistic software, which quickly and accurately provides information on load status, location, delivery, rate quotes, POD, BOL, billing, and receivables, allowing us to operate efficiently.
The seamless integration of information means improved operations, equipment utilization, and on-time delivery of your products. Spirit provides the competitive edge you need.
We offer the latest technology in security including GPS satellite tracking, digital surveillance cameras, access electrical gate, security lighting, and a completely gated yard with security guards to ensure product safekeeping.
